Garden shed - Roofing options

Have a garden shed to roof. Have a ply wood base to the roof and am planning on laying felt down to weather proof it. Is felt still the best thing to use for the roof or are there other options? Have almost 40 sqm to cover.

Unfortunately no man cave. She would think I have enough space with our buildings! It is an old cricket pavilion that we have managed to manoeuvre in to our garden. Did have a felt roof before, but had to take it off.
How straight forward is it to do the felt shingles?

Very easy, first time I've done them, just felt as normal then tack them on top, I got a Canadian made one in red, can't remember the name, I'll try and get some photos on Monday

It may not suit what your after but on a mono pitch shed I used PVCu clear corrugated sheets - makes for a nice light space to work in and zero evidence of rodents unlike my felt roofed shed. With fascia and barge boards I've hidden the roofing material as probably not the most aesthetically pleasing from outside. But regardless of the material you choose I'd definitely recommend getting as much light in as you can

I used feather edge on mine
