Gates to pen young bulls

We've got bespoke Batemans heavy stock yard gates in our shed, no idea what size tube they are though.
We went with 6 rails instead of 5, to stop bulls getting their heads stuck. We have IAE 5 rail stock yard gates in one shed and the spacing is just right for a bull (or cow) to get their head stuck!
Also the Batemans have what they call bull latches. On the bolt instead of a pendulum to fasten it, a piece of box section slides down tho hold the bolt.

I’ve got some 16 foot IAE field gates in one shed and the pri#ks keep forcing the middle and popping them open so ive chucked the gates outside and given the bulls the whole shed now 😂
Young bulls will test everything to the limit. :) When their bellies are full, they are lying flat out, grunting and farting. When they wake up, they just want to rub against walls, barriers and gates. You've just got to luv em :ROFLMAO:

Mine were built out of scaffold pole - almost 2 inches and about 3.2mm thick, 5 rails at 12 inch centres, hanging end 100 x 75 x 8 angle, clapping end 50 x 10 flat and a vertical brace half way along out of the 50 x 10 flat.

Hinges 25 mm pins welded through 25 x 50 flat and a 26 mm hole in the gate side.

Sorry about the mix of imperial and metric.

One rail out of about 30 has been a bit bent, my chaps said that it wasn't them with the forklift and, in fairness, it could have been the 1200kg stock bull next to some heifers.

This has worked well for me for up to 30 years - make them once and make them right.
