i priced all the diesel UTVs about 5 years ago. the cheapest (Kioti i think) was the same price as a brand new basic spec hilux, the JD was considerably more. im surprised its not more than 24k now tbh

if i was gonna spend 2k on an lpg conversion it would be going on the nicest 4.5 petrol 80 series i can find, not wasting it on a lada 😂
But how much would the 80 series cost, and how much more than a lada would it weigh-Comparable to a gator?
(Agree on the 4.5 80 series though….I have 2 V8’s on LPG….wouldn’t be able to afford to run the equivalent diesel)

my 80s weigh about 3.1t empty, so about 2t more i imagine 😂 in fairness 285/75r16 tyres are a LOT bigger than gator/lada tyres. could put 35/37s on for added grip i suppose, still cheaper and longer lasting than a gator. are yours 100 series? if so im surprised they cost less than the diesel to run, the 4.5 80s can get down into single figure MPG easily on LPG, compared to at least 20mpg on the diesels

I reckon the Lada will last as long as the Landcruiser, can be put on mahoosive tyres, and for lightweight off road Gator replacement, it’s got to be the winner? Use to only ever see panda and Lada 4x4’s in the Alps when I was a kid
For a bus that’ll take you around the world many, many times, in comfort and style, with envious and knowing glances everywhere, the Landcruiser is pretty much unbeatable.
Sadly, my V8’s are LR busses….🙄🙁

yes id much rather buy the lada than a utv, utvs are just money pits. ive managed ok with the old trucks and a honda bike so far though so think ill leave the lada 😂

Try a Polaris, @paul&mandy has a new gator and it’s falling apart to say the least.
He may know a more up to date price for the Polaris but a full spec was around £19k before VAT 12 months ago.
