Geese!!!

Peg out some flappy bits of feed bag on lengths of string?

Assume it's too far away to walk the dogs 2 or 3 times a day? (they will still paddle it up at night if they feel safe enough).

Gas banger?

Old fashioned scarecrow?

Gas banger, couple of pallets tied together & a couple of bright orange boilersuits stuffed with straw dotted about - bit like this fella

Old car or a trailer etc. seed bags nailed to a post
Yes, these have some effect. If pressure is high only locally (couple of yards diametre). In addition, occassionally shooting blank cartridges helps. Gas bangers do not work, as the geese get used to them quickly. Best crop to grow, is spring oats. Geese do not really like it and it usually grows too fast for them. Direct drilling, leaving long firm stalks could help too.

Are they walking through the fence into field? Shire wire if so. Usually I find they land in a field next to crop & go through fence to graze the heads and trample the stem, they don’t like landing in a crop of decent length. As said, a car/trailer parked. If one of those portek spinning scarers in a field of spring barley as they were grazing endrig. Seems to be doing the job meantime
