Situation Vacant General Dairy Farm Worker

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and dedicated individual to join our family run farm in the Cullompton area (Devon).

At present we have approximately 160 Holstein Friesian cows (plus youngstock) which are milked twice daily through a modern 20-20 milking parlour.

The opening is for full time to include weekend hours, although part time may be considered.

Duties will include (but not limited to):
  • Assisting with milking.
  • Yard work (including scraping, bedding).
  • Helping keep the high standard of welfare for the cows.
  • Feeding, and feeding of calves and husbandry associated with rearing them.
  • Basic tractor work (slurry tanking, rolling, topping).
  • General farm up-keep and duties.
No accommodation.

Applicant must have a valid driving licence.

The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, good communication skills and a can-do attitude.

Experience an advantage, but not essential. Training can be provided for the right candidate.
