George Eustice looses his mind at NFU fringe meeting!

Yes, but the carbon system means that they can easily pay more than generously for the land they buy to plant trees.

It hasn't sunk in to most livestock farmers, particularly ruminant animals, that the agenda is to get rid of them from the UK to allow the UK to claim to be 'carbon free' with trees and re-wilding being not only prioritised but actively promoted instead of grassland fields and meadows that dominate the landscape in many areas today.
The penny will drop with farmers eventually, when the pips are squeezed sufficiently. We are currently in a sort of agricultural 'Indian summer' but this will come to an end rather soon and the reality of Brexit and the policies of both major political parties are seen through. Farming and food production plays an insignificant part in their grand plan. Indeed they both aim to virtually phase grassland farming out, only they daren't say so out loud in so many words.

What are you going to do then?

It's a big mistake to confuse Brexit with what this load of clowns are doing, Bozo is happily being led by the nose by his other half & the rest are only ever interested in their future prospects!
Its not a mistake at all ! The present cabinet were nearly all pro Brexit. Johnson won the vote for Brexiters, and at the same time get rid of Cameron, clearing the way for him to achieve his lifetime ambition...................into No 10. You get what you vote for.......................a bunch of incompetent corrupt fools.

So what does that say for labour and liberal at the last election?
People go on about Boris and co but not many seemed to like the alternative, we need a decent alternative.
Would you bet against the Tories next time ?

This is where we go badly wrong, we (if the NFU were really a farming union) have more leverage than any other union in this country, we take an extremely large proportion of this countries sewage onto our farms voluntarily when there is hardly any other outlet for it.
If the NFU grew a pair of balls & threatened the Government that unless farmers were treated fairly they would instruct all farmers to refuse to accept sewage sludge onto their farms, this would grind sewage plants to a standstill in days, no government with the eco power there is now could ever contemplate any other means of disposal!
What other union has such power without any cost whatever to it's members?
Hell all the eco nuts would probably endorse it until they realised their own loos could also be in trouble!
Great idea but it would mean farmers unilaterally cooperating together in total unison, not a bl##dy chance 👎

Brexit was right as long as Cummings was there to guide the idiot Johnson in the right direction when he went .........!

That is a fair point sadly. I hope in the time left to the next election that someone can offer a credible opposition.
I would also hope that some who switched to Boris might now see through some of the promises sold to them.

Leopards and Spots . Truss covered up all sorts of stuff that I am convinced Liam Fox did as pre-done deals with Woody at the US Embassy. Only gradually will that come to light

Gove - look at all the promises he made to camera to the Scots farmers and elsewhere

ALL of them voted against the Parrish Amendment to the Agriculture Bill seeking to have parity of standards for food imported to UK legal minimum - why was that?

I say again they should double (or even treble MP's salaries) BUT

1. Illegal to financially benefit in any other way
2. Halve the number of MP's and give a proper exec support staff instead
3. Holidays become 20 days plus public holidays
4. None of the above candidate option on all ballot papers. If NOTB candidate polls most , constant by-election until another candidate is voted in. 10 years of what they would view as Brexit like chaos but my word that would sort the job out

Universal colloquial Cornish word which in this instance means to go bust or bankrupt.
It can used in many other ways, I’ve done a fair scat in that field (large area)
I give him a scat on the head ( hit him)
Going to go and scat that wall down (knock it down)
He scat it all to flitters ( he broke it up and threw it all about in many pieces)

Sadly I think your right, but it isn't just the uk, these muppets are all over the world, what is the legislation they're trying to pass in oregon currently? I'll see if I can find out now in a minute.

If a Farming minister here, said something as scandalous as that, he'd find his car full of dead piglets at best or tipped on his doorstep by the trailer load.
Bloody good idea!
I gather there might be a few thousand pigs slaughtered on-farm due to the lack of CO2.
It’d save burning or burying them!
How many could we get into Number 10 as well?

It has sunk in here but I haven't an idea what to do about it!
Unspoken GB gov. policy plus the international forces that Tony Seba predicts mean a perfect storm for us l/s farmers.

Did anyone actually film GE saying that a fertiliser shortage would be good for the country, because if there is a shortage of food after next harvest then that clip would be the first item on the evening news along with calls for a mass resignation...
I've asked the question elsewhere. Think Ben Briggs of FG was a witness
