Plus the towed vehicle becomes a trailer which,if over 750kgs,needs to be braked from the towing vehicle...
Not so sure about the carrying bit though.A moped or motorbike would be a higher taxed vehicle and I'd have thought it could be still be carried on the implement? Or tow an Ifor flatbed or equivalent with lights and brakes and the vehicle on top of it.

Can't you classify yourself as a Circus....( insert comment about the Red Tractor or NFU here ) I am sure that i read some where they can have 3 trailers or tow other vehicles with exemption?

Just for you @kill

Fred clearing around the barn conversion we did 1989. This traxcavator is now literally about 700 metres from our house sitting in some woodland on my neighbours place; resting peacefully where it conked out.
Watching Fred with his wheeled digger was like watching someone fly fishing; all the linkages were so worn that he kind of threw the bucket out in the hope that it would land in the right place. Actually he was bloody good with it.

Oh so true, the skill involved to guess when the bucket slop was going to allow correct placement into the trench was breath taking.

hi, just wondering if anyone tows a vehicle behind a tractor trailer/spreader etc? Dont know if its legal or anything like that, but it would be very handy to have transport instead of lugging the tractor home.

Depends on the set up really.
I’ve worked on umbilical gangs where we use customers fuel so just need a vehicle to get home in so towed a pick up on an Ifor behind spreading tractor but as has been said, not legal.
I’ve worked in a 4 man muck spreading gang where to move between jobs we’d tow 2 spreaders behind one tractor, loading shovel on low loader behind another tractor, 3rd spreader behind 3rd tractor and then 4th man would travel as escort out front in 3.5 ton crew cab van with 750 litres of fuel on back.
This was safe and fully legal but a lot of time was lost dropping spreaders on and off when you might only be going a couple of miles.
I’ve also worked alone on a 60k Fendt and triaxle tanker, some jobs could be 30 mile away and the best thing to do was to drop tanker and front weight off (5 mins) in yard at that job or next and zoom home in tractor at 40mph. Easier than towing a van. 30 years ago with 40k tractors maybe not.

Yes, I did. I’ve been offered the use of customers vehicles maybe 4 times in the last 20 years.

Not sure what you’re getting at??
I have given a contractor our old pickup to get home 40 miles away during silage. Saved unhitching everything and easier trip back for him early the next day.
Told him it often cut out after 30 miles but if he waited 20 minutes would usually restart ;)
