Little comparison to Sunday’s picture. Taken just now.

Leaf two just starting to show. Will get final top up of N early next week. Cold last night with a good frost. Hope it warms up a bit.

cool and dry here grass all but stopped growing though it was in front as were cereals, blossom slowing down coming out though still in front ,which to me mens a lowering of expectations from what looked very promising, our ditches have hardly run this late winter/ spring

I know I know not as dry as Australia, but for growing good wheat 5 mm of rain so far this month following an exceptional dry winter is not go to be filling the barn, let's just hope we get a 15mm-25mm before the end of the month.
Every year in the east mids we see to have a spring drought now.
just move to the land of your wife you won't be starting threads like this

Very dry although March was more normal for rainfall. Contractor spilled about half a cupful of N prills 4 days ago on concrete, still not dissolved despite 2 nights frost. Swallows returning so will need to create some puddles for them for nest repairs. Local station records only 109mm so far this year, slightly less than 2018. 323mm total for last year. Can't afford another dry summer with our forage stocks at an all time low :(

Very dry here. Clay cracking. Sand very dry. Every year I try to conserve moisture in the spring the weather seems to set me an even bigger challenge with lack of rainfall.

All of this last months fertiliser apps are sitting on the surface like a white crystalline film. Not good. Very cold and windy as well. Grass not keeping up with the sheep. Catlle indoors eating up silage. Will probably stay there day for the foreseeable.

Glad I didn't sell anything forward despite missing out on the peak.

Got a letter from the EA today, irrigation restrictions could be as early as May!

Didn’t get such a letter last year till about August.

Someone was irrigating wheat near here today?!
