Getting Add Blue on farms

We get all the fuel we use on the farmers were we work & if if need add blue as well then we get that as well if not we fill up at home & add it to the bill, we were at a farm a while back and filled up with fuel as we all ways do. he had some add blue as he now has a tractor or two that uses it so we filled up with add blue as well about 20lts, after we had left farm he rang up & did his nut as we had used some of his add blue , he basically told us we had stole his add blue.He is now going around the country side telling people we took his add blue, What is wrong with some people Add blue is a fuel for a working tractor.

tried it & did not work switching it off, so it is back working on the tractors again

Think it's a legal matter when someone uses a picture of your tractor, yet think it's totally acceptable to take folks add blue without asking.

As regards word spreading around the county, don't worry too much it will spread a lot quicker now you have announced it on here.

I got a weekend away in a nice hotel for that photo of my tractor , by the people that used it.

I'd give him the tenner for the ad blue if it matters so much to him(tosser).
Or maybe ask him if his acre count is correct for the work you done. Sometimes fields shrink round here !!

But if farmer is supplying fuel then adblu is part of the fueling process surely? can't run and engine without both!

Yes but if it was the first time using it on that farm I would still would have told the farmer i was taking it.

We had used his add blue in the past but he only buys it in 20lt drums so a lot of the time he never had any, so he knew we used it in the passed.

Oh ok bit different then. And for the record i'm not condoning the farmer going round telling everyone you stole it!

I think your pretty brave taking fuel from farms full stop, no way I'd do it with the price of todays gear.
You say you've had problems with ad blue on your tractors, maybe this is why.

Me recons Speedy you be far better even tho i know its a hassle, just supplying your own fuel & adblu for them kind of jobs.

We don't use ad blu on farms, too risky and hassle even if they have it. All diesel filtered through a bowser also.

Just to put a spanner in the works: adblue isn't fuel is it? You might as well have topped up your washer bottle, coupe of grease carts and changed the engine oil too!

Can't run without adblu, washer bottle and grease is optional especially on most farms, as for changing engine oil, that's just being silly

I think its odd to take fuel from farmers I wouldnt use fuel from farmers tanks maybe an odd time when you get short .Nobody around here does it!

Common practice in Scotland you arrive and leave full that's how it works round here. Farmers are still a bit funny about add blue the now but in years to come when everyone and everything is using it it'll become standard practice to take it as well

All the contractors we have in take fuel and add blue and any work we do away from home we get fuel.
