Getting Add Blue on farms

how'd you go on with this using farmers fuel a lot of people will buy straw away from the farm around so you go bale there bit run 20-30 min back to the farm to fill up then on to the next and so on seems easier just to charge including fuel maybe i'm missing something :scratchhead:

Yeah, this is where it gets confusing.

For baling, hedge cutting, ploughing, drilling and a few other jobs contractors use their own fuel

My opinion on supplying fuel is that it's better.
If contractor is lying out 10s of thousands on fuel for months in some cases he will make damn sure he is charging enough to more than cover it.
If you supply it only costs what is used on your job. Yes sometimes they travel a fair bit to get to you but other times they come from next door. Either way you will be charged for it somewhere down the line!

The chaps who does all our round baling, square baling and wrapping for us supply their own fuel/adblue and when we do any work for anyone we supply our own.
One reason is that we know we're using clean filtered fuel in our tractors as opposed to fuel out of other farms tanks that may have water or muck in them.

Using diesel on farm when away from home is far easier for us if I'm away for a few days it saves dickin around with a bowser etc.

Perfect example was this morning went to sow grass at a place which is an hour from home so left full did the job filled up and left. So the customer is quite happy as he got his job done and only had to give the diesel for traveling to the job that's how it works round here has done for a long time and can't see it changing anytime soon.

How are farmers taking to being charged for add blu I don't know anyone else who adds it on to be fair most I know of are running JD so using very little so just standing the cost but I do know of 1 on New Holland and a couple of years back he said he wasn't charging for it but might have changed now.

So you reported him for running is landrover on red :ROFLMAO:

I allways supply my own fuel it saves hassle and I know it's all filtered from a good tank also take half an hour to fill with some farms gravity fed tanks
