Heavy rain in the early hours that woke us up. Hope it moves East for everyone to get a bit .

Line of showers from malton to birmingham and the only broke up bit is as it went through the vale of york ran around getting the spreader on and just had a look and its still there on the surface

The downside is i was hoping this none existant rain might have germinated the last 2 acres of spring barley but as it hasn;t even disolved yesterdays fert that won;t have happened

Twice this week the spider living in my rain gauge has started climbing upwards, and then realised ‘false alarm’ and returned to the bottom

Nothing here, starting to think about cutting N on lighter land and giving it to the heavier stuff or saving until next year. Already pleased I did that with the winter barley, it wouldn’t have got to the crop in time .

It lasted 5 minutes at work and checking the cameras at home I'm not sure it even got wet there

2-3 mm in a nice heavy downpour, which should freshen stuff up. Looks very black south of us and heard some thunder
