Getting on top of silage field docks!

Everyone has a different approach it seems!
I could see keeping on top of them after a re-seed being achievable but the amount of them we have at the moment I'd need a guy full time with a quad and sprayer I'd think [emoji85][emoji23].

We'll need to blanket spray the worst areas which will probs be over 100 acre.
2 weeks after being cut and the socks are all stages from rosette size to dinner plate and they're more prominent than the grass. Thinking maybe spray in a week or so?

I'm interested in the seedling control. We reseed in the autumn and usually too late by the time we get to it but would like to know more.
As long as they are burned off before reseeding all dock plants will be seedlings at pretty much the same stage, they are easy to kill at this stage, even with cheaper sprays.

Grass needs to have 3 leaves and have a good flush of weeds, so a late autumn seed tends not to suit quite so well.
It works a treat on spring to late summer sowing.

If you're spot spraying use Grazon. Roundup is a waste of time on established docks, it kills the top but not the root. If you're spraying fields that are going to be cut you need to leave 4 weeks between spraying and cutting or you're wasting your time. I used Envy this year and it seems to have done the job without any of the restrictions that Forefront has. If you're reseeding spray with Ally then follow up with Roundup a few weeks later.

How bad is it? This is pp only been grazed this year but was cut last year. Not much docks, mostly nettle and thistle. Not mine it's neighbours field

When did you take that you bugger?

Most of this farm was like that when I took it over, and some of it worse. Thistlex has cleaned it up a treat (I sprayed 170ac with it the first year, and a chunk again the second) and I only have the odd nettle trying to make a come back now. Slowly getting clover back in too.(y)

Thistlex won't do a lot for docks though. I'd spay the OP's field with Pastor (or rather a cheaper, generic equivalent) or Doxstar, then leave it 3 weeks before mowing, as per label rec.

Used a lot of Gal-Gone, Hatchett and Minstrel this year. Mixed with an adjuvant. Had very good results.Fluroxypur is the main in all three and also in doxstar.

Been spray docks today with gal-gone @ 1.5 litres/ha & 0.5ha companion gold with 300 litres water per ha. Doing fields that were the last of first cut done at around the 1st of June. Most of them are dinner plate size. Moving onto some other fields 2moro which have a mixture of dinner plate docks & some that have seeded already. Is it worth doing these fields? Will the seeded docks survive the spray?
Probs be cutting for 2nd cut in 3/4 weeks

It will knock the seeded ones down fine but I would guess seed still be viable

Got a 30 acre field that was re-seeded last year after being in barley for 6 years. Virtually no docks when cut for first cut at the end of may. Got a coat of slurry. Quite a few docks appearing now although they are a lot further behind than the other fields. What's the best option with that?
Spraying will kill the clover?
There will have been plenty docks seeds in the slurry I think as it's a problem we haven't been keeping on top of well enough
