Your fuking mental !Phone the man and cut the price in half if he pays now
Why give profit to meathead debt collectors
Every man and his dog jumped in this yr
If I don't get payed I blame myself for being a fool , a bloody big fool in the past , one guy from Shropshire who is well known on Social media took me for a good few thousand , I will never get payed , one load is perhaps excusable , but giving him another load without first payment is maddness being a new customer I did not know , I damn well know him nowI pay my bills on time, I expect others to do the same
If they don't I will not deal with them in the future
simple and not unreasonable
125 post ? well its seems i'm not alone in getting paid 5 months late for straw maybe ?
Name an shameIf I don't get payed I blame myself for being a fool , a bloody big fool in the past , one guy from Shropshire who is well known on Social media took me for a good few thousand , I will never get payed , one load is perhaps excusable , but giving him another load without first payment is maddness being a new customer I did not know , I damn well know him now
Go through the proper channels to recoup what's owed and make sure u learn from your mistake , it's taken me years to learn
Tarring straw dealers all with the same brush is bad form and not nice
Of course he should, but why sell the debt for 30% of its value to knuckle dragging semi criminals? Why ?No one forced him to buy the straw it
was a business decision at the time like everything
else .As long as the dealer is solvent and has assets
and there is evidence of the deal then Clive has everything
to gain from going after the full amount .
Clive might be naive at selling straw but in this instance he should
be paid the agreed amount in full.
Why would you sell the debt just deal with it!Of course he should, but why sell the debt for 30% of its value to knuckle dragging semi criminals?
Deal direct and save both sides money.
I have been stung for hay and straw myself, i know what its like
He's had enough shame to bury a horse , water off a ducks backName an shame
To be fair I've never had a problem with any of the properHe's had enough shame to bury a horse , water off a ducks back
Ain't a dealer , a dairy farmer , beef and sheep farmers are best for paying , they tend to live within their means, but all my farmers are good to be fairTo be fair I've never had a problem with any of the proper
dealers in Herefordshire .
Same way as you get money out of any buyer - the product or buyer doesn’t matter:Any tips (short of physical violence) on how to get money out of a straw buyer ?
Are you sure it's not a £10k ceiling?I have found the small claims court on line to be very good. A small claim apparently is anything under £100k.
What is it about straw buyers that thinks they don'y need to pay or can run their business on my cashflow ? happens over and over, diferent buyers same sob stories, without doubt the worst payers in British farming
next time a livestock farmer wonders why so much straw is chopped this is the reason
Any tips (short of physical violence) on how to get money out of a straw buyer ?
What was the court's ruling then? How much per week are they having to pay? Or are you just moaning??? My supplier don't have to do anything - I pay my bills on-time, i expect the same from others
Are you seriously suggesting its OKM and acceptable to pay your bills 5 month late ?
We have been doing plenty about it chasing the debt (a complete waste of everyones time). and I will only be selling straw via auction in the future with payment up front ...... lesson learnt
And yet you haven't responded to the helpful ones? The law is on your side but it seems you haven't used the law, choosing to whinge on your personal platform.I'm asking a question like any other TFF member can - I force no-one to reply
I appreciate the responses, especially the helpful ones
Name and shame.harvest and still not paid / not answering the phone to us ............. again !
agreement was as always 28days from invoice
I have no issues with debt ever apart from straw buyers - why is this ?
Of course there is,If we sell in the swath it’s full payment up front per acre before harvest. If they don’t pay they don’t bale it.
Or get a contractor to bale and stack it then sell it to a well known merchants but you’ll have to load it. There’s no other way.
I feel like there’s 2 sides too every story and we are only getting 1 sideAnd yet you haven't responded to the helpful ones? The law is on your side but it seems you haven't used the law, choosing to whinge on your personal platform.
Sad.
