Hold on a minute!! There’s indispensable and there’s working for free!! I’m the latter, if I have to pay someone to cover for me, it just gets too much, or as others say, maybe bump into the summer?
What exactly is heavy lifting?
Attaching machinery, ptos?
Or are we talking lifting calves!???
Could I milk?
Jez, this is just another “kick in the balls” how cushy those tillage lads have it!

Perhaps you could use a regular kick in the balls as a temporary procedure until the summer?

Does it not dawn on them to not pull too hard unless you ask?

Have a mate that had it done and the tubes started disappearing into his abdomen so all got very excited whilst the surgeon and nurses try and get a better hold. It worked but his left bollock is now too tender to touch which makes life a bit easier when on ‘the job’.

I had mine done a fortnight ago. The procedure was on a Thursday evening, I had planned to have a paperwork day on the friday and a lazy weekend.

My mobile rang on the way home from the clinic - something had happened at the calf rearers and the calves ordered for next week would be coming early, in fact they were being loaded that night.

I got sod all sleep that night thanks to the discomfort, up early the next morning, maxed out on co-codamol and went to work hefting hurdles and ducking in and out of cattle pens. When the painkillers wore off I felt like throwing up - like a regular kick in the balls X 1000.

By Sunday, they had swollen big time and every movement hurt. I took plenty of anti-inflammatories and hoped for the best. After a week the pain subsided and the swelling went down. Everything now looks and feels normal aside from an internal bruised feeling. I assume I did myself some damage on the day after the op.

The moral of my story: When the surgeon says "stay off work for 48hrs", do it.

By the way, since having the procedure, I seem to be horny all the time. Is this a common side-effect?
