Pasture pump on a sleeper and just keep moving it on with each fence move provided you’ve got somewhere to draw water from

I plan to put some infrastructure in over the winter providing I get some good results this summer and things work the way I plan. I will run water pipe from the farm to fields or at the very least a central point from where I can then put hose in to reel out for the drinkers. I suppose I’m just still sceptical and want to try things out.

If all takes off I will run electric and fence off the boundaries round ditchs ect to make life that bit easier for moving blocks

We have a water tank behind the shed. The tank fills and the submersible pump takes the water some height to the top of the hill. It fills very efficient. We then T-off from that big huge tank (ebay 2nd hand) It takes some spending and effort to set up a good water system. But we def don't IBC water and get tractors out every day especially if the ground is wet and seeing that the boss is out working off farm in the week it needs to be efficient and quick. The system is set up so the kids can do a lot of it. They can unplug the JFC trough and either drag it or pop in the quad trailer to the text T off. Then set up the electric fence. Like I said there is a lot of spending and time to set up but it works.

We have 25mm pipe running out from points at all of our old static water trough points. Then we have a small 150 litre water trough we move into each patch as we mob graze. As we are on borehole water supply with good flow and pressure the 60 head don’t drain the trough. Just tip it out and drag it along

Im using an IBC with sheep (beware the tap cracking) due to shocking layout for water on the farm - we fill one ibc and tow it up in a trailer - and feed it to a working ibc in the field at a convenient high point - then we can come and put a second ibc infront of the sheep and fill from the higher one - thus the sheep catch up with the water. - ive been feeding from the ibc via hoses to cut up 50lt barrels

The solution. Good base just got to sort a small leek and some new tyres. Pick of paint and it’ll do the job just perfect
