Donald Trump has claimed that a law protecting Twitter from liability over its users’ post must be scrapped due to “national security” fears as he was mocked online with the hashtag #diaperdon.
The outgoing US President called for Section 230, which protects website publishers from liability for third-party content under US law, to be “immediately terminated” after claiming that Twitter was fabricating its trends to solely portray “negative stuff”.
The president's outburst came as the term #diaperdon trended on Twitter. The term went viral as pictures were shared of the President sitting at a small desk during last night’s White House press conference.

“Twitter is sending out totally false “Trends” that have absolutely nothing to do with what is really trending in the world,” he wrote.

"They make it up, and only negative “stuff”. Same thing will happen to Twitter as is happening to @FoxNews daytime. Also, big Conservative discrimination!"

PA House & Senate will introduce resolutions to appoint presidentIal electors.

under Art 2 section 1.2 of the Constitution. To take back power from the “corrupt“ elector’s.

This is from Trumps Lawyer Ellis.

Quote “ PA State Senator: The Legislature must assert its constitutional authority on presidential electors”

Senator Mastriano who’s twitter account was suspended. Then reinstated after a Trump Tweet.

Don’t shoot the messenger.

@Honest john
Just wondering what the previous process for appointing the "presidents electors" (I assume for taking ratified electoral college votes to federal confirmation) was?

No idea.
I guess this will be challenged from Biden’s legal team.

I understand the PA Electors have passed on the results to federal electors,
Ellis says they can overturn the PA electors by Art2 section 1.2.

They plan the same action in other states.

Before other folk say I made this up, it was a live interview with Ellis.

In Pennsylvania they appoint electors as do all states, these electors can, in Pennsylvania unlike some states, ignore the wishes of the electorate and vote for who they like, it could be Donald Trump or even Donald Duck.
It is not uncommon for electors to do this, in the 2016 election, 12 electors voted against their states wishes and became so called “ faithless electors”. However, to cast them in a fashion which affects the outcome of the overall election, has not happened for over 2 centuries and I think it highly unlikely to happen now. I really think Giuliani has lost his marbles, and most of these lawyers are just seeking cheap publicity.

Even an excellent Christmas gift for the budding dictator. :ROFLMAO:

I actually think this absolution of the companies such as Facebook twitter et al is wrong, and a pity he did not do something about it, when he had the the chance. instead of course he used it relentlessly in the pedalling of his thousands of dubious tweets and downright lies.
Newspapers cannot print, without being responsible so why should the internet companies be allowed to broadcast a continuous stream of lies propaganda and highly fraudulent advertising

Yeah Trump’s lack of self knowledge on this is breathtaking, or maybe he actually believes the shyte he spouts? As for the tech companies they continue to claim that lies, libel and offensive material can be filtered out by software and then fail to act. In reality they are publishing such material with impunity, any paper or broadcaster who did the same would be quickly buried by litigation let alone the criminal law.

His supporters love when he does Twitter as it’s a direct link to their presidents unfiltered thoughts. They don’t like it when it’s against him.

Anyway, I think you will see a difference to how he is treated as a private citizen post inauguration.

Oh. And another thing. All his posts on Twitter are kept and recorded for future generations on Presidential record :nailbiting:

It seems to me very like Brexit.
The right believe Trump the left believe Biden & there’s no meeting of the Twain.
When this gets to the SC whoever wins the loser’s side will be mad. If it’s the right who lose they will sit back & mock Biden’s many cock up’s.
Should the left lose they will loot Mock & kill.
( well a minority will ).

what a mess.

If Biden loses thanks to faithless electors, I suspect there may well be riots and I strongly suspect as in most riots there will be plenty there from all sides of the spectrum for the looting.

Well he hasn't has he? Just because CNN says he has, doesn't make it law. He may well win in the end but it's getting less likely by the day. It's not up to you, me or CNN to say who has won the US election. It's a process set in the US constitution. So we'll have to wait and see the outcome of that. In my opinion it's far from over.
