Girl shot in London, again...

A person has died at your hands and you expect the Police to not arrest you and leave you free to go on holiday whilst they work out what happened? Yeah I can see that being accepted by the public. Suspected killer walks free as he gave a convincing excuse at the scene?

I have no love for the police but let's be realistic here. 48 hours in police custody is hardly like being incarcerated by Ming the merciless.

The pensioner should be on police bail at his home or having councilling in a hospital.

Innocent until proven guilty, not chucked in the slammer on the whim.

I fully agree with your valued comments, having weak leadership at the top of government is not conducive to bring about firm control/s.

Theresa May has brought in firm controls.

There's a crack down in social media against anyone not towing the government line.

Anyone raising questions about government policy on immigration or politics is getting their money & channels taken down.

Mrs May wants the public muzzled.

So he jumps bail and who carries the can for that? You can't let a man have freedom to roam when he has just killed somebody until the full facts are known . Public safety is involved.
A man stole a tractor and trailer from me. The police caught him by chance because he committed another offence a few days later, let him out on bail and he turned up five years later having just been released from prison in France for a similar offence. He did not kill anybody but a lot of time and expense would have been saved if the police had done their job properly in the first place. I'll bet the French police were not so lenient.

The Police won't garner the facts in 2 days.

I obviously don't agree with UK laws on defending your property. Sorry but as far as I'm concerned without this was a setup then he has committed no crime.

I got almost 5 years for defending my fathers property - got a caution the Police were not interested in catching the criminals. Police not interested in even getting out of their cars .. waited for a tracker dog to "Find" the criminals .. I just looked at the snow.

Sorry but I think law abiding citizens are criminalised by the Police and as in your case they are way to leniant & uninterested in criminals.

HMG spends lots of time creating new laws to criminalise law abiding citizens IMHO so they can fine them.

Its being reported on the news over here that london now has more murders than new york..im not sure if its on a oer capita basis? It seems like click bait to me.

200 murders per year...whats the population?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...me-teenagers-statistics-figures-a8286866.html

Is this article to be believed? St.loius in usa has 65 murders per 100,000 people...low immigration area as well?

Melbourne was 69 deaths for 3 million people or so...but thats a 28 percent increase from year before. In our case drugs would be a large portion of this. Car jacking crimes have sky rocketed...from guess who...

All in all i would think londons rate is normal for a diverse multicultural society....

Ant...
Unless these statistics throw up a reason and a potential solution they are meaningless . There is no competition to be the worst because one death is too many and the present situation is not acceptable. I really don`t give a damn what happens elsewhere unless it offers an answer.

Whilst a few PC politicos are reeling back on the need for police stop and search powers, a few like Diane Abbot continue to protest saying it only leads to identification of "small amounts of drugs for personal use".

They are unreal in the light of continuing deaths from stabbing and guns

Abbot playing the race card again, typical waste of space.

As long as gangs are killing other people in gangs or there hangers on I am not sure I care that much.

Sorry about my attitude but there are many ways to die.

I do care.

But I've learnt that politicians don't seem to care about a number of issues which if left down to me would be responded with authoritarian measures.

So I've concluded it's best things get a lot worse .. got to give these politicians enough rope IMHO.
