Gloves for cold wet weather?

The boss has a pair of Gill sailing gloves that are brilliant however they dont work with the cuffs on his jacket. The gloves at the top are too thick if you put the gloves over the wrist the water gets in.

Over the years he is like me more sensitive to the cold and with working off farm some days outside on groundworks this is being a pain.

Anyone found a pair of gloves that work both for cold and wet and still functional being able to operate machinery?

Have you looked at the Sealskinz range?

i use a combo of sealskinz - leather goatskin ones and then some pfanner grippy gloves
but for winter use (ie wetter) ive moved to some liner wool gloves (ie thin) and then some standard builder fully rubbereised gloves - warmth and decent dry hands.

I have just bought a couple of pairs of these for silage bale unwrapping season!!

Not the thickest but waterproof front and back so hands don’t get wet like they do with the knitted back type yet not big and clumsy like most thermal ones.

MaxiDry Zero

Fully waterproof - except for at the wrists. Thermal but with very little reduced dexterity. Great longevity - other gloves always gave up at the fingertips or at the gap between the thumb and my pointing finger. Grip could be better but it isn't at all bad, just isn't as good as some of the gripy gloves out there.

Only negatives are that the thermal isn't enough for me when it is freezing cold. But my hands are always cold. And the name could be better.

+Glove liners can help to delay the cold getting in.

I hadn't heard of Gill sailing gloves before. So I just looked into them.
https://gb.gillmarine.com/neoprene-winter-glove-1/ would this one work better with his cuffs?
Or this one https://gb.gillmarine.com/3-seasons-gloves/?

The Ergodyne gloves preformed well while I was outside shoveling and snowblowing snow at work. My hands stayed warm and dry. The only drawback which is common with water proof gloves is that your hands tend to sweat. The one thing that worried me was the stitching, it seems like the more stitching you have the more likely the gloves are to fall apart, but these have held up great! Very waterproof Aswell, I wore them on a day with plenty of rain, my hands never got wet.
They look good. Maxidry gloves are great in normal weather but provide zero heat retention. Gill sailing gloves seem to be working well.
