Glyphosate alternative?

Rapeseed oil based stuff is often used here, have you any waste olive oil that might work

No problem about using the finest Extra Virgin - I have a few hundred litres in stock. Any suggestions as to quantity per hectolitre (2hl tank). The sprayer is specifically for use in tree crops and under the 2m rule for "MoT".

Did we find out what plant it was?

Sorry if I've missed it somewhere

Eventually decided it was a Conyza of some sort. As @Bogweevil said above, they can hybridize and several are known in Iberia. Not too bothered about an exact match - I suspect two species or hybrids anyway.

The 47% w/w rape oil is 1% max of solution,
Have some paraffin oil that's max 2.5 % of mix.

In lay man terms that means a glug per mix ?

@robs1 Many thanks, I will apply the accountant side of me to the mathematics.

Edit: Can I please check your advice? In my head: 1% w/v would be 2 litres in 200. 1% w/w with oil at 91/92 % of water, or even 90% would still mean 1.8L in 200. Seems a bit more than a glug, or even two glugs - which is the amount of washing up liquid I would normally use.

Depends how big your glugs are, but yes the rape based stuff I use at 2 litres per 200 of mix. It's a while since I learnt about different adjuvants but iirc oil based ones are designed to spread the chem over a bigger leaf area and reduce the waxy coating of the leaf to allow the chemical to enter the plant.

If you're going to use a pureish oil as an adjuvant with the chemicals, the makers of Codacide (a similar product) tell you to add the chemicals to the neat oil before mixing it in the spray water.
