Hi guys
Son and father in law looked at a series 3 swb landy a couple of months back but as it had a ford transit diesel in it they walked away but after a while to think about it they have decided on another look with me going as well :)

Wouldn’t happen to be in Bristol would it? Been looking at one on eBay up there but not brave enough to take on another project just yet

Had a look earlier chassis looks ok but will need a really good look to be sure, bulkhead is in a bad way, the rest of the body looks ok too but the engine would't start but think its a wiring fault as its just had a new starter motor fitted, but it all goes to make it cheaper so fingers crossed :D

What’s the plans for it? As detailed as your last or more a tidy everydayer?

The plan is to get it running as the battery was flat when we went to view it plus we found out whilst viewing it that it had a wiring fault think who ever fitted the new starter motor connected the main earth cable to the power leads on the starter but after getting it home we sorted it within the first hour, then check the landy out properly then go from there but really want to sort any problems it has, respray it and sell it on :)

Hope it works out for you (y)

Stick on a few bits of scaffolding pipe , and you have your very own Fred Dibnahmobile...
Haha, the landy came with 4 x new off road tyres, it has an overdrive fitted, is fitted with a Ford Transit engine which was recon'd 2 years ago and runs sweet, all gears work inc hi and low range, chassis looks in good condition althought needs further inspection, bulkhead needs work rotten in all the usual places, front panel is rotten and the 2 doors need replacing due to panel damage and there is a lot of additional lights fitted which we will be removing but other than that its not bad safe to say its in a lot better condition that mine was when i got it, so watch this space :D

I’m far too easily influenced!!
Picked this up the day after you got yours!!!! 300tdi swapped and some bulkhead rot, handy enough it’s the top end of the bulkhead that’s bad and the repair panels are £15 for both sides so should be an easy enough job!!
