Going rate for a student?

I've been told by mine it's £7 hour. But I haven't had the college out to tell me anything else. But she's been getting £12.5 hour milking or £10 hour to push cows around the yard on a big unit. I'm a bit confused by it all at the moment and there does seem to be rules on time they can start and clock off and Sunday working looks like 2 hours.

Depends if they in are education with you or just at college, what experience they have, do you need them, age.
On an apprenticeship it’s £4.20 minimum for the first year then minimum would depend on age.
A lot of it boils down to what your willing to pay and what they will expect. For a new student £4.2-£8 would be fair range depending on how good they are

What would you pay somebody who can just put clusters on? I am slowly learning her to tube cows, check for mastitus, switch the parlour on and put to clean. It's quite time consuming to show people and explain. But at the same time pay a appropriate wage is still important. I want to get to the stage i can leave them to it and iT and pay the going rate

I would start on £6 then review regularly with targets to hit which would improve wage. Are they employed or self employed if employed there’s £3 worth of Benefits with and employed wage aswell mind

She hasn't got any tbh. Hasn't done her tractor test. Just doing one year in local college before she goes to reaseheath. I don't know on that she did say she was self employed last week. I'm not so sure waiting for the college to set the record straight. Do you have to keep time sheets?
