With labour and material prices all over the shot in recent months I feel I’m out of touch a bit and curious to see if this is the case.

What’s a full time guy worth per annum / hr who can do a bit of everything?

Given a van, all materials and most of the tools needed. They pay fuel though.

3 bed house included. All work either 2 or 7 miles from home. Normal hrs, sometimes works extra to earn a bit more.

You hear of trades on really decent money but often that includes quoting, chasing money and having the cash flow to run the jobs. In this example invoice paid on return so no worry there.

£12 to £15 per hour.
£34-42k pa if you want to work for Serco as a full time maintenance person at NNUH
Others are iro £26k pa
I have a Harry Potter type ‘flat’ when I’m at work.
This week. Killed a rattie, painted a room, fixed a Triton shower. Ordeted further spares for another day, collected some paint and an extractor fan. Fitted an Ariston under sink water heater and its associated wiring & pipework, fitted an aluminium radiator and a 13A single unswitched socket showed the tenants where the controls are and the how-to’s in the instruction booklet. The Romanians took all the remains away so no bother going to the recycling🤣. Drank Polish coffee and am now at home enjoying the end of the day.

We had a guy helping lay blocks, painting etc last winter, £30/hr, he didn't have a vehicle but could drive so used mine, didn't have any tools other than his own favourite trowel

Patios , block paving , concrete post and panel fences mainly , 4x4 twin cab and tipper trailer, all own tools , just hire in diggers .
I used to do exactly the same. Charged around £150/day plus markup on materials 20 years ago. That said, we all know the downsides to being self employed compared to having the safety nets of employment.

What price ph do u charge ? I would think £20 h plus all extras isn’t a bad starting point
£35ph minimum plus fuel , I'm not wrecking my back ,knees or my truck for nothing .
Last monday and tuesday when it was stinking hot , I was hand digging a patio base out , 6 tons barrowed out and up ramps onto my trailer , 4 tons of hardcore barrowed back in and than another 2 tons of sharp sand barrowed in to mix at the far end of the garden .
Im cheap to how much some round here charge .

Wouldn't you be better off getting a mortgage on a semi while you have the buying power and ability to work and earn for the day you can't ! ( Obviously nowt to do with me just an idea )
Not interested in buying , the place I live has a huge yard ,plenty of storage space and no direct neighbours , it's got a big orchard that i've turned into a veg plot , loads of shed space to keep things undercover and out of sight .
This job isn't secure enough , it's been going downhill the last two years , too many have jumped on the bandwagon ,all out to cut somebody's throat just to get the job.
Its been dog eat dog since cost of living prices went sky high .
Ive another 5 years to my pension and im taking it .

Look at buying a derelict and resurrection of said place?
Sounds like you have all the skill set.
I have a warm, cozy, cheap-to-heat & dry tiny home. And my Victorian hobby🤣

When I’m a proper pensioner I will have minimal outgoings and if I can still run the airbnb I will be able to live really quite comfortably. 👍
