Going to the pub or restaurant

I haven't been in to any shops but judging by comments from others who have, our Tescos is about the best managed for Covid of all the local supermarkets.

Of the below, one felt obliged (despite my arguing vehemently otherwise) to shut down, the other has had a three month payday. I know which I consider to be the lower risk to health.

I'm sure everyone in the pub will be adhering to the rules at opening time. But what about closing time? A different picture then, I would imagine.

I have worked in a plant with 50 or so staff throughout lockdown, so I'll definitely be chancing a pint and bar supper sooner rather than later without significantly increasing my risk of catching the virus.

@delilah I've only been in a supermarket a handful of times since lockdown but each time I am irked by their references to feeding the nation, as if they're doing the whole job themselves!

I've not been out due to shielding, but my food has been coming via click and collect from a 2 local farm shops, plus a friend doing a weekly run into town and using an independent, butcher, fishmonger, deli and greengrocer as well as one supermarket. We live next door a a gine distillery (phew) so that was sorted. We've also had takeaways from about 6 pubs or restaurants, all done very safely. Our farmers market re-opened weeks ago and about 4 food stalls have been well-spaced out in the market place every Saturday from about week 3 of lockdown.

Your details are precious otherwise there wouldn't be a trade in them for advertising etc.
Personally I have enough sh!t come through on email and text without adding to it.

So I for one will wait until this is no longer a requirement and I suspect others will too
Shame on you. Boris has just developed his brand spanking new “world beating tracing system”, and all you can do is sulk!!!

Im sure my local will remember me. They have all my details from takeaways over lockdown. It will be the same as eveybody who has a store loyalty card. I haven’t got one.

Indoor will be much more risky if someone is infectious. Interesting to see the contact tracing from restaurants and a call centre where lots of people further away were exposed due to air flow patterns.
Unless we know who was there then it will keep going. The pub does not feed it into a government database, just if a case turns up.

Leicester is not going to open bars or restaurants as it's a bit of a hot spot atm.

What is to stop the possible infected public from travelling outside of their local area for a meal?
