How many steps from tin to gold
As widely highlighted in the press, criteria completely revamped for next year and grazing groups have been encouraged to nominate their best performers too. (closing date for entries is today). https://www.nmr.co.uk/about-us/gold-cupIt seems to be yield driven , backed up with milk recording results more so than actual profit. The last number of previous winners that I can remember seem to want to follow the American system. Not to many if any grass based farmers make it through as winners.
At the new DairyTec event Feb 18 - in the same link posted above. So when will the next winner be announced? It Allways has been at the dairy event but now that's no more.
Geoff Spence, Miresdale Herd, Northallerton, North Yorkshire - did he win this, a few years back.Well if I set off now I might make it there by Wednesday.
Has there ever been a northern winner?
