"Scottish" oil generating tax revenue?
Your having a laugh?
I'm not very clever, but, I would hazard a guess that the stuff costs more in government hand outs and grants to get it ashore and refine than it ever earns the exchequer.
I would think the greatest tax income from oil, VAT, duty etc, is generated at the pumps and other points of sale and could be loaded onto oil (purchased cheaper) from anywhere in the world.

So why does the uk govt bother with it? Why did they not just leave it under the north sea?
So Why did tony blair shift the scottish/english maratime boundary 150 miles north in 1999?
Why does norway have an oil fund of nearly a trillion dollars stashed away for a rainy day? Is their side of the north sea able to generate oodles of cash but ours isn't?

Well, atleast you admit your not very clever.

The largest TAX revenue from oil, is taken at extraction.

Scotland holds 60% of Europe's oil, yet as part of the UK is totally skint. Westminster has been utterly wreckless. Squandered the UK's greatest asset, pee'd it against the wall and took us all for a ride.

The sad part is the people of England believe the propaganda bulls**t!t spouted from their leaders that we should be grateful for their incompetence and that Scotland couldn't survive without them.

The way the UK is governed is unsustainable, the debt will never be cleared. No other oil country, in the world, is as poor as Scotland - or has the debt levels of the UK. Every other country has an 'oil reserve'. Money sitting in reserve, like a savings account, incase they need it.

Tell me.
How does the amount of TAX revenue taken at extraction compare with the amount of handout given to Scotty land?
Also. How much did/do they receive as a share from extraction licences or whatever?

Ruth Davidson, leader of the Scottish conservatives, and a strong remain campaigner until Westminster conservatives told her not to be, says she's wants us to have access to the European single market free trade market.

Ruth Davidson made this statement soon after Theresa May announced she wants a hard Brexit severing all ties.

Whatever your political opinions and views are, it must be clear that the politics and policies of Scotland differ from those of Westminster.

What exactly has Davidson said anything different to TM? Davidson said the 'largest amount of access' and then she goes on to say, she wants to be outside of the customs union via making deals with other countries, so i don't really see how she's saying anything different from TM.

I did not hear Davidson say she wanted to remain in the single market membership, outside the single market = hard brexit.

Fullest possible 'ACCESS'

Access is different from membership, membership of the single market = soft brexit

ACCESS only, means hard brexit, when will you learn, it's all very simple.

So you slate TM while praising Davidson for practically saying the same thing, nor do i care what she said last month, TM 8 months ago said she wanted to remain in the SM :ROFLMAO:

What they're both pretty much calling for, is a deal like Canada + services, some might call that cutting all ties, i couldn't care less frankly.
