Good service

Not ag but worth mentioning I think.

A company that aims to give good customer service is Premier Inns. I have no connection with them whatsoever, but have stayed with them six to eight times over a period of years.

I know of two instances where the accomdation bill was written off where a guest complained. The first was when I was waiting at reception to settle up and got into conversation with the guest ahead of me in the queue. When his turn came to pay he mentioned that some late night revellers had disturbed his sleep. Without further prompting the receptionist offered to refund his payment for accomodation!

On another occasion I mentioned to the recptionist that the bedroom my wife and I had been in was small for a double and really only large enough for a single. Without any quibble they refunded my bill.
Me too, they don't even twitch when we take bikes in the room.
The one at Newton Abbott racecourse even offered to make us breakfast at 5.00am before the Dartmoor Classic

I had this Irish lad pick some silage up this week .I have not come across such a well mannered delightful helpful friend just plain nice lad in a long time, got me thinking why are not all humans like that it costs nothing
We had an Irish lad in last Thursday ,there is just some thing about their attitude and work ethic , a lad called dermot has small farm some where in north of Ireland in the mountains he said ,and usually drive livestock for seamus black ,

Smart Agricultural Services at Piddlehinton. Came out to do a winter service on my drill tractor & I mentioned an ongoing issue with the Autopower transmission pushing against the brakes. The fitter came out twice more over the next couple of days having gone away to research the problem. He also noticed a bumpy cab suspension ride, so cleaned the mud off the bottom of the cab underside to improve that. Top service & reminded me why I like them a lot.

A new small engineering supply company has recently opened near Stratford Upon Avon

Named Avon Mechanical Services they can supply many generic parts and deal in machine sales too. I ordered some quite difficult to find brake chambers for my 1975 lorry. They found and stocked them in 48 hrs, stayed open until gone 6pm for me to collect them and even sent me a message today to make sure they fit.

I’ll definitely be using them again.

I ordered some bits from Dickies on Friday from their sale (boots 75%off (y)). They sent a tracking email for Parcel Force. Yesterday I checked and it was apparently delivered on Monday, just not to here or anywhere near .

I called Dickies at lunchtime and the replacement delivery arrived here with DPD at 09:20 this morning.

That's how to look after customers when things go wrong. (y)
