Chichester Farm Machinery, bought a second hand Kubota 8040 from them, with a 3 month warranty (which I never thought to ask for). When we got it home and started using it it was obvious that there was a problem with the syncro in fifth gear. They took it back and rebuilt the gearbox, it's perfect now, highly recommended.

Donald Rae and sons.

Had a mishap with our varitron 270. Ram mount for lifting main section of bunker snapped when full of carrots and loaded bunker dropped onto a trailer (fortunately). Broken mount is integral to the frame of the bunker, not a changeable part.

Was in the field within an hr of it happening (25minute drive away), plan of attack made, offending broken mount cut off and taken away. Then machined a new mount from scratch, returned, welded into place and it’s as good as new.

the mount snapped at half 11, and I thought that was the rest of the week buggered, I started lifting again at half 5.

Top men, top service.

It is this kind of thing where experience and a high level of skill is worth every penny.

Hunton Legg.

Ram on our ancient Legg 6tonner has been resealed a few times but now leaking yet again.

Rang the above at 2pm Thursday, the bloke on the other end knows his stuff! Mentioned the age of the trailer and he instantly reeled off the sizes, before I'd even measured it.

Turned up by 3pm next day, with invoice in the packaging, didn't want payment over the phone "pay when you get the ram, we're a bit old fashioned here"

Rams on, fits well, works a treat.

Resurrecting this thread.
McAree Engineering Monaghan, also known as V-Mac Silos.
Couldn't praise this company enough have 6 of their silos on farm and they have been faultless. But recently I needed some sheet steel work done for a job and it was knacky to say the least, contacted these guys as I reckoned they were the only ones that had the expertise to do what I wanted in the time frame (12 days) and they didn't disappoint, emailed them a couple of drawings and a wish list and they had it ready for me the day I needed it, went to pick it up and got a tour of the factory when I was there. Not naming anyone in particular because everyone I dealt with was super, well done. Great to see a rural based business that has grown into a big player but hasn't forgotten its core customers and the little customers that helped it on it's way.

Me again, is no one else receiving good service?
Todays praise is for Martin @UTV Products
To me the true measure of a business is how it acts when a problem arises and yes I had a problem with a UTV light unit, but the way Martin has handled it and the speed which he sorted it out no questions asked is to be applauded. What can I say, a first class product from a first class company, well done. The only problem I have with their lights are once fitted they make halogen lights look like custard and I find myself replacing halogens with LED's now on a regular basis.

Just thought id mention what brilliant advice and service ive had from @Combine Rescue . Had electric fault with new holland front suspension and no electric spools working, he talked me through various things to test, from the results he concluded the main dd controller was at fault. Sent off to him, he received it Wednesday, he fixed it straight away and tested . Posted back and it arrived this morning (Saturday). Fitted back to the tractor and all problems fixed and charged bugger all. Really impressed. Anything electronic related i wont hesitate to ring him again in the future. Thanks alot @Combine Rescue

Alex Price and parts man Alan at A C Price, North Yorkshire.

I haven't had a great deal off them but Alex has been a massive help with timing an engine that I have put in a Unimog and Alan in stores, knows his stuff and bends over backwards to sort you out.

Top firm who I look forward to dealing with more in the future.

A few recent ones:
MJ Robinson - excellent parts team, had delivery out to me before the invoice was written up, and prices that were very competitive. My first call for New Holland parts even although they're so far away.
Tasman Industries (www.keysandpins.com) - very quick delivery via their ebay shop.
Rico Europe (www.ricoeurope.com) - overnight delivery of hydraulic oil (again through ebay) at a good price.
L&S Engineers (www.lsengineers.co.uk) - another good place for small machine spares.

I can second the quality of service and prices of L & S Engineers. (y)

Bought lots of spare parts for garden equipment, power tools, pressure washers over the years from L&S Engineers, often to replace "spare parts" from ebay etc which turned out to be the wrong size.
