Yep looking like a "peoples vote" on the "floating turd spinning in the brexit flush"
Or will she take down the conservative party with a general election, doubt it somehow.

"Peoples vote" .. we've had two votes so far and remainers lost them both.

Yet despite remainers making a complete fool of themselves not only in the campaigns but also in the negotiations, remainers still think they should control the process.

Time remainers were chucked in the bin.

Mrs May is like a floating turd spinning in the flush ..

Let me get this clear in my head. Your posts in general, indicate your belief that at least the past four and possibly more British PM’s were turds at best.
May, Cameron, Brown, Blair ......... possibly you also bestow Major with the same award.
Thatcher ..... well she shafted the coal miners and built an alter to the bankers, so you probably also qualify her as a turd.....
Callaghan ..... honorary turd do you think????
Wilson .... surely he gets a double expresso turd !!!

Is there ‘ere a non turd in Westminster who can step up ??????

Let's put it this way .. in the flush it either floats or it doesn't.

So like all politics it depends on the context. So your context is almost perminantly anti English .. so we all know where we stand.

Guess where that leaves you ?

We are week arguing amongst ourselves like children in a playground. EU saw this and used it as a chance to punish us and show others that leaving would not be in a wise move, they still also hold a view that they may stop brexit altogether.

I sometimes take the view that the 'Department for Exiting Europe' or whatever it's called was set up only as a way of employing a Leaver or three and hopefully make them and other Leavers think that the UK would get a Brexit.
Meanwhile the Remainer PM who called the referendum stepped down to allow another ReMayner PM to take 'charge' and give the obviously false illusion that Brexit would happen, which it seems to be getting clearer all the time, was never going to be the case.

Or to sum up: if voting changed anything they wouldn't let people vote.

I honestly believe they want a full hard brexit, and the whole chequers deal is a facade to frustrate the EU and dupe the british public into a sense of appeasement when the no deal hit's the fan in March and the government has to hack and slash (hello cheap food imports) its way through trade deals to try and stabilize the country and its economy.

Well, if that's the case it's been a dear do up to now, just to pacify a few xenophobic Tories.

All this talk of turds and floating turds in particular, has got me wondering if the Remainers view that those who voted Leave, didn’t in fact know what they were voting for is actually the complete reverse of what really happened.

I’m pretty convinced that those who voted Leave knew exactly what they wanted an that meant a total (hard) Brexit. Which it looks like exactly what is going to happen now.

On the other hand, I suspect that many who voted Remain were in fact “floating” voters who hadn’t really made up their minds and voted for the status quo.

The Remain politicians who claim to have accepted the people’s vote then come up with a “turd” of a plan they called Chequers.

It now looks like any chance of a deal has been completely flushed down the pan big time. With every other EU member having not only pulled the chain, but refusing to let go of it.

How many times will that loo need flushing before these “floaters” who are in fact Remainers, that say Brexit means Brexit without actually meaning it, eventually drown?

Or at least realise that their boat just doesn’t float any more?

Mrs May is doing a good job and I hope she has the stamina to stick with it.
It is simply a negotiation. So far the EU appear to have played their hand better than us in that they get behind their chief negotiator whilst allowing those who don’t really count to lob in negative comments to try to put us on the back foot ie make us feel we are not worthy of a good deal. If our MPs, parliament and everyone else got behind her and stopped trying to undermine our position she would get the very best deal possible albeit like most negotiations it would probably be at the last minute.
She did the right thing at Chequers - took on board everything that she knows, banged heads and came up with a workable compromise. That Boris and co have downgraded themselves is a good thing. Better still if they throw their weight behind her. Getting the negative comments yesterday was all part of the game. The cherry comments were because they know we are in strong position and that their European dream will unravel to some degree after we have gone. I have been there with a negotiation where ‘they’ made us out to be bad people, attempt to humiliate etc. At the end of the day you resist and stand firm if you have something they want (our market etc.). Mr Trump said to Mrs May that she should have started out by suing the EU. Most thought this was a bit laughable but he was kind of right - get in and make them think they are the bad people.
As long as we do not undermine her it will all work out but it will be a bumpy journey.
