Goodnature A24 Rat Trap

Indeed I love the idea of posion free but I am afraid I am not convinced.

Advice on here and elsewhere suggest the bait is not up to expectation for rat control.

Have you any satisfied farmer's who would be happy to be contacted to endorse the product?

hi, I read this thread with interest. I assume most people on here are at heart environmentalists. Poison, for all it's benefits really goes against humane and environmental ideals.
The Goodnature traps are a quality alternative to poison. Used sensibly and deployed with thought, the goodnature traps are effective humane rodent control measure. Limiting the use of poison and reducing time spent on rodent control.

I've not heard of anyone who has had success with the a24.

I like to think that I could make it work.
Possibly by changing the bait, but also by correctly siting it.

I just don't have that sort of money to get something to "try"

Feel free to send me one to evaluate and I'll provide a full write-up and photographs of my results.

I agree.
There is a tube guard thing available now as. An extra. to try keep hedgehogs out. I wouldn't be happy killing them

It's to be sighted on a island on the fishery so not gonna be a problem for me.
I won't poison near the fish

Wcs tube traps a very good quality

I've had one for nearly 12mths now, its been triggered 6 times, I know it killed 2 mice.
It's currently set by an out lying barn that we always get rats around, it's been set 5mths and its not been touched.
The best use will be if/when they are licensed for squirrels.

So what your saying is don't bother!?

It'll definitely want it's bait renewing by now.

I'd review it's position too

Has anyone now managed to make these work ? Looking at getting one but dont want to waste my money
I've had one on loan here for 8 months during which time it's killed 1 rat.

How's that for a review?

It's been used with 3 different baits in 3 different locations, all of which have produced better results with cage traps.

I suspect it would work better for squirrels.

Two lengths of drain pipe and one of these between cover the gap with a sack or make a wooden tunnel to cover the trap ,,raty loves a dark tunnel ,,,works every time and nothing complicated

Bump!

A Fen Trap doesn't need poison or bait .. you just put the trap on the rat run.

And no I'm DEFINATELY not an environmentalist.

I put one in a chicken shed over run with mice because I didn't want poison near the chicken and had zero kills. I used wildcat vr placed in the wall caverty away from the birds and got rid of them.
