Got a questionable reactor now what ?

Two farms i have heard of recently, not had TB in years, both had a reactor at herd test, was killed and was NVL, did not culture and both herds had to have two clear tests for the restrictions to be lifted!

its an unreliable test anyway so chances are you've not got it

The vets response to that is, she has a tb legion somewhere its just we can't find it

There are many parameters involved in the decision of one or two clear tests.

Our last two breakdowns were 1 clear test required.

If you want to know ring APHA speak to the duty vet. They will then explain the reason.

Going by hearsay of what happened on a neighbouring farm is not what may happen on own.

It's a test for an immune response to exposure isn't it?

If anyone knows how TB rules work your a better person than me. We’ve been shut down since last July lost few had a clear test then lost again then clear. None of the 11 cows have had anything you can see in them or grow anything on the culture times. We lost a few last test they haven’t grown anything and we’ve only got to pass 1 test to go clear now.
