Government to offer £6,800/Ha for Woodland Establishment

The Government are to offer new grants of up to £6,800/Ha to help farmers and landowners establish new woodlands, and an annual payment for up to 10 years to ensure that management and woodland protection aims are being met.

The grants wil be aimed at helping with establishment costs, as well as tree protection measures.

Premier Wildlife Services - at the forefront of UK Deer Management Services provision, are able to advise landowners on woodland protection and deer management strategies, ensuring that grant aid is maintained, but also help to generate an additional revenue from deer 'harvests'

If the grant is anything like mine its not worth the paper it is written on. Annual payments stopped being paid in 2015 and now having to take Forestry Commission to small claims court in order to get the annual payments due. The scheme has cost us thousands as it reduced our eligible land area below 5Ha despite assurances that it would have no effect on our annual payments.
