Govt guarantees Farm Sub's...

Why shouldn't I? Whilst I didn't like the campaign run by either side and the fact that Cameron has ultimately to be held responsible for the whole debacle. The fact remains that Boris, Gove and IDS in particular waged a total campaign based on lies and half truths to get the public to vote leave and this was reprehensible.

I do not know how many a zillion is, but accept it is some huge number that many of us use from time to time. That being the case, it must mean you believe all those involved in the running of the EU are completely honest and truthful. I think history shows that many, possibly most, of them are not.

Do you not agree that the lies and half truths put out by the Remain side were also reprehensible? Since you were a Remainer, I will accept that you think it was a tad less reprehensible than the Leave side.

Pasty, Your post #40 deserves more than a "Like". One of your better efforts that was very well composed. That sounds as if I am some patronising school teacher. Please just take it as a compliment.
Thank you. I would love to speak to some of my old teachers now. Apparently my wife met GCC, my old maths master in Totnes the other night and he remembered me after er....30 years. He told her we did some good maths, which we did. I expect he's still at the same table outside the 7 stars so will maybe go and buy him a pint and some leaded for his Silver Shadow.

I definitely think the whole Remain campaign was poorly conducted and did smack of fear. As the decision should have been somewhat apolitical Cameron and Osborn should not have been seen as leading the Remain campaign at all. By the end the whole thing became a total farce which allowed Leave to specifically target large numbers confused Labour supporters into thinking Labour policy was indeed for Leave.

Going by Corbyn's actions, it was, wasn't it?

As an edit: I had the utmost respect for Tony Benn and I suspect so did Corbyn. I didn't agree with a lot of what he said, I suspect Corbyn did. But he was a great politician. Honest and forthright. I think deep down, Corbyn was a Leaver, he just couldn't utter it due to the state of his party.
