GPRS tracking for sheep

I expect this will have been covered before on here somewhere but I am interested in tracking individual sheep on an extensive hill system, large areas/low sheep numbers.

Anybody had any dealings with this or can recommend a cost effective solution/company please?

Try speaking to Marecia Fraser at Ibers (Aberystwyth), I think she has done some research on this including the use of a radio tag - something I vaguely remember is that the behaviour changes if you put a collar on either a sheep or a cow?

Thanks for the quick reply, I will try a google and see if I can get some contact details for her

Lass from Salford Uni has been tracking sheep on our moor for a coupe of years now doing research on ticks. They have also been tracking cattle here in the lakes and at loch Katrine in Scotlanf. I can find her email if you want, where are you based ?
