Anyone know how to decipher the age of a trailer from the serial number??

Put serial number up and I will compare it to ours as I know when both were built it mite be obvious.

They always used to weld the date on the main chassis rail under the headboard on the face facing the floor. Not looked on new one to see if they still do.
I'd guess yours is 2012 from the no

What type of trailer is it? The db140 would usually denote the type and size but db doesn't ring a bell

Our old trailers have the year impressed on the wheel centres

It was sold as a 2014
The reason I questioned it was today when i was recording the serial number etc for our records, I noticed it also had above the serial number: E4 2007/460589
And although it in no way looks likes a 2007 trailer it did get me wondering

I'd suggest the 2007 may be the type approval or something like that

If it were a 2007 chances are it would have a blue roof.
