Graham Heath Sheds / Understanding Engineering Spec

Has anyone used these guys, have one recommendation locally but wondered how others have got on. They have a very user friendly on line quoting system and so I have got a quote for a general storage building which seems reasonable but have no idea how to judge the spec of what they have presented. The building will measure L 36m x W 9m x H 5m, 6m bays. Portal frame made of 203 x 133 x 25kg UB stanchions, 178 x 102 x 19kg rafters. 9" x 3" x 20' timber purlins at 4'6" centres. How do I know if the engineering is about right or not?! It will be clad to the floor and is simple dry storage so its not like the walls need any strength over and above carrying the shed itself. Thanks

I've just a 100 x 50 x 17 building. I would spec all steel purlins and side rails and galvanise it. We had a building put up in 2009 by them, no problem at all. The guys don't hang about when they build it.

I have no experience of the company mentioned but the spec you have quoted is correct for the building you have described with the use you have stated.

Gavanising on a store shed is just down to personnal preference and budget.

If you would like a comparison quote please feel free to Pm, email or call me.

I've put up a graham heath shed for a friend, it was the easiest building I've ever done everything fitted spot on never had to get the welder or drill out.
I would definitely go for z purlins all round rather than timber. So if spec seems right (and price)then go for it!
