We have a 3.2m bucket on our 542 70. This bucket is being moved on to an older Loadall on a distant farm. What size bucket are you using on this size machine, definitely could do with a bigger one.

Tried a 4.6m on a 541-70 and it wasnt stable enough if thats of any help. It could lift it fine but the movement sideways wasn’t on.
3.6m works well.

Exactly what warksfarmer said above, will get alot of sideways thrust/sway on which is already a weak boom pivot to chassis design, bosses in boom are very narrow and tend to crack out. Plus there comes a point where smaller is faster as you dont have to drive so slow/steady and theres a point you can no longer really see over the dam thing so visability becomes an issue.
