Grain trailer

I would say the size of your budget will determine what you can buy. Some 10 year old bailey/ Stewart will be strong money compared to a less popular make. I have a 10 year old 14 ton trailer that I can probably get £1500 less for it now than what I paid for it new. But the new price will probably nearly double.

I am looking for a second hand 14 ton grain trailer. So many makes out there, which one do you go for?
Look a volume

some trailer will be too low a volume to get 14 tonnes

my 16 t Bailey with rollover sheet will get 18 tonne wheat or beans less rape or barley

more than half the time a trailer is in use it is empty needing little power
adjustment and size of brake drums is the most important need
some trailer lock up when empty on some tractors
not on new Holland Bailey combination but stops quicker than most cars when fully laden ,I worry about the cars behind when in stop start Trafic on the a1
