Got a Grammer air seat in teh fergy 6460.
Its started going down sometimes. Doesnt usually go down when in the seat, usually when your off the tractor.
Had a look. The air bag is worn (been replaced before) but not leaking. I think it is the control valve not seating correctly?
Does anyone know if similar (maybe relatively common) faults and where to get parts from.
thank ewe

Figuring out the where the leak is first is the hard bit. One tractor seat needs to be sat down hard on once inflated to seal on release valve. Another had leaks in the pipes. Easiest fix was to get some 4mm air pipe connectors and join pipes

ive figured out i dont have a leak!
I left the seat with 50KG weight on it and it stayed put for a couple of days.
I think when you get off the seat, the adjustment valve is getting activated which lets the air out
Any ideas on adjusting it?

Look under seat and trace cable from air release back to the valve then with seat “empty” see if cable is being snagged activating valve.

Hi, I have a grammer air seat that’s deflating very quickly. It pumps up but drops in a few minutes. I have removed the seat off the base, and got the base out of the cab onto workbench, with the aim to inflate and get some leak detection spray to find a leak. Only issue is it won’t now pump up, possibly because I disconnected three wires that went up into the back of the seat maybe? Or is it due to a weight sensor?
Can I put a live and neutral feed to the two wires going straight into the compressor? Ones black, the others black and white. Which one is likely to be the live? Many thanks

Hi,

At the back of the MSG95S or MSG95AL air seats is the level control valve ( looks like a seat belt winder with microswitch ) this controls the set automatic level, these can be bought separately, all parts can

Hi,

You cant adjust the height, the level valve at the back controls where the air automatically cuts off

I have attached pictures of the 2 types, very similar but cable entry is different so they are not intechangable
