Grammer DS85H in a JD 2650

So managed to break the seat in my JD - and just wondering on whether it’s repairable or whether best to try and find a new suspension base to replace the broken one

Basically where the suspension runs back and forth the bushings have worn away and broken and then the bare metal has rubbed broken thru. I’m thinking either:

1. Get some new bushings, take suspension apart, weld broken metal and then fit back together. But wondering if other parts of the seat suspension might also fail soon...?
2. Get a new suspension base - any suggestions where might have one? A few on eBay for the 115-150 range but it hard to judge quality. Tractor isn’t worked hard so would probably be fine anyway as long as they fit ok!

All the other seat parts are in good condition - cushions etc - and original for the 2650 so don’t want to change those.

Thanks for any help / tips

JMC parts in Ireland sell grammar seats and parts. New base is about half the price of a complete new seat

Thanks. Will they ship to UK I wonder now as apparently lots of places aren’t at the moment as they figure out VAT and customs rules.

Are there any UK based Grammer spares specialists do you know?

Loads of places in the UK to supply you. Any one with a Bepco account will have access to grammer seats for starters.

I have a Bepco account ;) But there are others :ROFLMAO:

I've got one of these bases and it's fine for something not doing thousands of hours a year
Kdr also do Grammer spares.

I had a genuine grammer one of those from Ebay for about £130, it was capital seating selling them. Then went to lamma show not long after and they had a pile of them for £80:banghead:
