Anyone removed their granite worktop to fit to a new kitchen? Whats the chance of breaking it, am I better off getting a granite company to do it? Had a price and it seems very high and no guarantee they won't break it.

If you are handy at DIY you should have little problems
Just treat them as a glass sheet but an awful lot heavier.
They are fairly solid but if you lay them down make sure they are on something even
They are most likely to break where the sinks are plumbed in
Get plenty of friends to help lift it
