Just found the email telling me they were different.
When you originally registered on the Rural Payments service, you should have received a letter with these reference numbers on them. If you can’t find the letter, to find out what your SBI and CRN numbers are you need to log onto Rural Payments, go into ‘Your Business’ and click on ‘Amend Personal Details’.
So as father is no longer with us I really need my own customer reference number to manage BPS etc... finally got though the RPA dozens of multi-choice options to speak to someone and whilst nice she isn't fully trained on the system yet, I don't think anyone ever has been.... I now have a customer reference number, I have verified my email but getting the system to generate the security code to let me create a password seems to be a mystery.. PS anyone else think to send the RPA a copy of the death cert when someone with a customer ref number passes? Think I might just hold off until I know my new log in works
