Would just like to say 'spud' that I took the photos, at one of the driest locations in the UK on a dry day into a dry seedbed. I have seen your earlier comment and will try and improve our photo library! I would like to say, this ear of farming is about trying new things, reducing costs and farming in a less harmful way. Might be worth seeing the positives occasionally? Its not going to work a 100% of the time, but if you have a drill that does, I think everyone on here would buy 100! Food for thought, if you will pardon the pun.

It’s a good point; not only that but one of the GAEC codes specifically says not to access ground that is unfit to travel on unless absolutely necessary (eg to harvest a crop). Is drilling an autumn crop absolutely necessary in those conditions? Just saying!
