know of several people who have purchased drills through LEADER funding. are there any other schemes which people have successfully used?

Quite a few have been bought recently with the Farm Business Grant in Wales, or the English equivalent scheme. 40% grant off a 'standard price' with a very simple tickbox application process. It does seem that those eligible drills have increased in price now though, as a result.
