I don't want to turn my shed into housing.

Are there any grants for maintaining or bringing traditional farm buildings into use? I'd like to turn it into a couple of small artist studios or similar but not via Class Q.

Might be worth investigating LEADER or such - might be able to get a grant if looking to make a business that creates jobs. Won't get anything for lettings though.

However....if you got a grant, ran a busines for a bit then decided to let it out after the claw back period expired that might be different.

I've not read all the details yet but there is something about traditional buildings grants in the new stewardship scheme, only in national parks tho'.
