grass margin

i have 1 gate when i close it i pull in upon a grass margin opposite belonging to an acre plot on what was formerly a cottage,the tractor is leaving cleat marks on the grass,but i am safely off the road while i close my gate.in the last week bollards have been placed where i pull in.there is a bend 50m from the gate which is why sometimes i prefer to pull as much off the road as i can esp during school hours as there is a large secondary school 2 miles farther on with large buses and Chelsea tractors ferrying children.i can park on the road while i close the gate,but vehicles would have to manoeuvre around it to pass,whereas if i pull in to the ditch opposite my gate and have the wheels on the grass margin i am no hindrance.guess what-dublin arses.
