Thats why I came on here to see what others thought . I dont intend to upset anyone,

You maybe ought to read your posts before clicking ‘post reply’ then!
You have doubted every one of those experienced contractors and seedsman that have posted an overseeding rate of around 10kg/ac (replies in response to your ‘question’), as well as pretty well every seed house’s recc, because ‘your mate says...’.

Personally I don’t much care what you might think of my opinion, but your response has been little short of insulting to those that have been doing the job professionally for many years.:(

DD’ed Redstart, ready to graze with weaned lambs at last. After a slow start, it’s several inches above my knees now......apart from anywhere within 10 yards of a tree, or half an acre at the bottom of the field that’s a nasty blue clay. The other half an acre is all good though

The greenery in the bottom will get a dose of glyphosate after grazing, then a good discing to level a few humps & hollows properly, before putting a good long term PRG/white clover ley in.

I managed without slag too, but did put a dose of Fibrophos on after drilling.👍
Hate to butt in, but Fibrophos after drillig ? Before crop emerges ? Could you spread it on SB after drilling ? Would it spread to 24M ? I like the idea, but I wouldn't want to delay drilling waiting for a contractor to spread it on the.... ahem..... ploughing.

The seedlings were already emerging (just how it worked out), but obviously would have should the traffic better having been DD’ed...;)

The spreader was on a Unimog, with a spread width of nearer 12m, but I couldn’t see where he’d been. I have done the same spreading on emerged stubble turnips after cereals before now too. Never been a problem, but obviously wouldn’t want to do it when wet/soft.

Don’t forget Kev. He’s been doing it too.

It was, then it dried out, then it rained a little bit, then it dried out.:( It was really struggling but has somehow found enough moisture to come to something now.
Within about 10 yards of any trees it is about 2” tall, such is the dry here. If we’d had a decent amount of rain it would have produced a stupid amount of feed no doubt.
