i bet that 25% bit looks good tho 😂:sorry:
@Jim75 operator...... 🤷🏻‍♂️ And no it didn’t.
6 acre of stubble turnips all went in the 12m round the field, then expensive grass seed put in the middle instead of putting it in the fields destined for grass so only a few acre of 12acre was the good seed and they filled the rest with “old seed in the shed” which came to f-all. Different contractor doing it this time, new contractor sowed 15 acre of turnips for me last year at another farm and he gave me seed back 😮 never had that before, those 5kg left over will go in this year 👍🏻

Or just put a couple bags in at at a time.
How is your grass coming? Mine has improved a lot in the last few days. First photo was taken on the 7th of May and the second on the 17th

I've got a field here that the contractor did 4 times with an tine Harrow. Germination is now all over the shop as the first lot of seed has been Harrowed in to deep, I cant stress the importance of not putting small seed in to deep. Just a very light Harrow. Bend those times right back and keep the wheels down
Sorry if I'm preaching to the converted

Always preferred creating a firm cambridge rolled surface and broadcasting twice over at right angles then covering with chain harrows on their backs if it was for more than a 1 year ley.
