That was methiocarb pellets (such as Draza), which haven't been available to use for 5 years now.

Metaldehyde is getting harder to source now too, as Ferric pellets have come down in price to match now.

What's the best way to open grass seed bags?

Horrible things. Can never get stitches to split and for them to pull apart.

I will send a video of bag opening tomorrow live from my shed - but if its a Hurrells seed bag cut the string tail off opposite end to the seed label then pull the loop and it slips out the length of the sack

This was an interesting find in the field from the 1800s. A bag seal from Edward and sons. Would have been torn of a bag by my great great grandfather probably

That’s very unlevel , very bad when the roller isn’t hitting the ground all across, a land leveler is what’s needed first.

I remember those seals from when dad used to buy straight ryegrass seed to do his own mixes

I found a website dedicated to bag seals! This one says Seedsmen to Queen Victoria which was apparently only on them for 10 years or so before her death in 1901

Hell of a lot of grass seed gone out the last week and I'm sowing another 55 next week - got some Westerwolds to go in mid October- it may freeze to death but at least it won't be short of a

When's the westerwold getting ploughed out sowed then?
