Grass weed

    At a friend's farm today they had this weed that they have rouged can anyone tell me what it is ? I have a nasty feeling I may already know the answer.

    I’ve got one field where Palio hasn’t worked in patches. Got delayed until middle April so too big .

    Almost looks like Italian Ryegrass or Westerwold

    Mine has worked but incredibly slowly .... so much so I gave it a dose of Topik as well ... :oops:

  11. IRG has a rolled leaf sheath/stem.

    I doubt you will be the only one with a grass weed SU failure this year the conditions have been very odd. Axial would sort that out now but £££s.

    Ive killed ryegrass plants as tall as an A4 page with broadway star before.

    Yes, Italian Ryegrass. I've got one field of wheat with a long history of IRG. Palio + wetter + water conditioner in good warm growy weather in late March stunted it a bit but that's all.
