OSR regrowth fantastic for finishing lambs, once they got used to it (not long) they absolutely flew.

Last year went to draw them off and all were around 5kgs heavier than I had assumed they would be!

Ewes flush really well on it as well, currently have 120 welsh draft ewes on a patch, putting 300 more ewes onto it this week and then tups will go in

Best to eat it earlier, reduced sprays the next year as well

This is the size of it when I’m moving stock on to graze

Thanks I grow a lot of turnips and keep hay and straw in with them as a buffer will treat them the same

We have a lot of cull ewes on volunteer OSR at the moment. They take a while to get used to it but do well once they have adapted. I would be very nervous about putting lambs straight on it without a decent run back of grass or stubble as they take longer to eat enough to go forward. Freshly planted OSR seems to be better feed value than volunteers.
Lambs can get pasturella on the change over if you are not careful.
